Orchids of the Day and Geek Phone

Once again the weather is turning colder...we've had a few warmer days, but I'm hoping the weatherman is correct and we see a little of the white stuff on December 24 and/or 25. I'm hoping snow and not ice/sleet. It makes things really messy around here. I like snow from time to time....especially around Christmas time.
A little less than a month ago I made the switch to Samsung's Galaxy S cell phone. I had previously owned a Windows Mobile 6.x phone (HTC Diamond Touch). Android makes my old phone lick wallpaper. I'm finding lots of apps that are useful and that I will actually use. I think my two favorites are Evernote and GroceryIQ. Setting up GroceryIQ takes some time, but once set up it makes my grocery shopping list one that I can keep up with. I'm constantly making notes to get something when I go to the store...I loose the note before the weekend when I do my grocery shopping. On the phone it is always there. I add and update items on my PC, and they automatically sync with my phone. I can add items using either my phone, my PC or even my iPod Touch (so works on iPhone too).
Evernotes is a way for me to keep up with information of any kind that I put in "notebooks". Like GroceryIQ, it will automatically sync between the PC and the phone. You can clip web pages, insert pics, type notes (a lot easier on the PC, but you can do it on the phone). I'm using it to store info like Buddy & Paco's medical history, notes and plans for the pond, photos of the koi, etc.
I was going to do an "Orchid of the Day", but I had 3 favorite species orchids in bloom and I like them all so it will just have to be "Orchids of the Day".
