I haven't posted in a while so I figured this weekend would be a good time. I've had several flowers come and go over the past couple of weeks so I guess now is a good time for catch up.
Cattleya quadricolor (completely missed taking a photo before it started fading...grrr)
Cattleya schroderae
Laelia Santa Barbara Sunset 'Showtime'
Cattleya lawrenceana
Angraecum sesquipedale
Tolumnia Genting Sunshine

Since before Christmas, Buddy has been treated for his allergy problems. First he was on prednisone for about a month and now he is on cyclosporin. The prednisone did wonders and started being less effective just as he was about to be weaned off. During the weaning off prednisone period he got worse so he was switched over to cyclosporin (10 mg QID) and given a shot of prednisone in the vet's office. I'm not so sure the cyclosporin is doing that good of a job, but it has been better than when Buddy was going off the prednisone. Buddy was supposed to be on cyclosporin a month before going in for a check up, but the vet only had a 15 day supply. They were supposed to order more, but I keep calling and they still don't have any. Buddy's last dose of cyclosporin was Monday (Feb. 14th). Here's what Buddy's back looks like the day after a shampoo that specifically removes the oily skin flakes on his back. The red and most of the skin flakes are pretty much gone, but the hairloss from rolling on his back to scratch is pretty evident.
